Dr. ANNETTE WEISSMAN, PRINCIPAL
I am Dr. Annette Weissman and I would like to welcome you to the Norman S. Edelcup Sunny Isles Beach Community School web site. I am honored to be the founding principal of the first school to open in Sunny Isles Beach and greatly appreciate the community's warm welcome and support. We have shared the excitement of watching the school become a landmark of the community. Norman S. Edelcup Sunny Isles Beach Community School will emphasize mathematics, science, and technology throughout its curriculum so that its students will be well prepared to compete in an advanced academic and competitive economic world. The curriculum will be delivered by highly qualified teachers who utilize the latest technology and hands-on activities to engage students in studies that are relevant and meaningful to their world.

It is with a great sense of enthusiasm and excitement that I return to the Norman S. Edelcup Sunny Isles Beach K-8 Center family. As a new school year approaches I look forward to continuing to meet the challenges of a high performing school. It is my intent to build on the past success of our school by dedicating myself to the vision and mission of N.S.E/SIB K-8. I am committed to building a lasting and meaningful relationship with all of our stakeholders. I look forward to meeting with all the new parents and students we serve. I am confident that together we, the faculty, and staff can establish new milestones of excellence and create memorable moments filled with high academic achievement and personal growth. I look forward to our 2012-2013 journey to begin.
