Dr. ANNETTE WEISSMAN, PRINCIPAL
I am Dr. Annette Weissman and I would like to welcome you to the Sunny Isles Beach Community School web site. I am honored to be the founding principal of the first school to open in Sunny Isles Beach and greatly appreciate the community's warm welcome and support. We have shared the excitement of watching the school become a landmark of the community. Sunny Isles Beach Community School will emphasize mathematics, science, and technology throughout its curriculum so that its students will be well prepared to compete in an advanced academic and competitive economic world. The curriculum will be delivered by highly qualified teachers who utilize the latest technology and hands-on activities to engage students in studies that are relevant and meaningful to their world.

SABRINA MONTILLA, ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL
I am so pleased to serve as an assistant principal at Sunny Isles Beach Community School K-8. Our inaugural year, 2008-2009, was successful for our students, parents and the SIB K-8 community. I look forward to the 2009-2010 school year and once again, meeting all our parents, working with our school community, and providing an excellent education to our students. Sunny Isles Beach Community School is an outstanding educational institution. Our faculty and staff will implement the highest educational and social standards for all students. Every student who walks through our doors will be immersed in reading, writing, mathematics, science, social science, the arts, and more, so that they will be well prepared for their future. It is my desire to be an active participant in our student's educational career. I anticipate working with our parents to ensure our student and parent educational needs are met. As one of your educational partners, I welcome you to another year of excellence.

It is an honor to join the administrative team and staff at Sunny Isles Beach Community School K-8. As a veteran administrator, I firmly believe that student success is based upon a cooperative effort between the student, the family, and the school. It is with this in mind that the faculty and staff are here to serve the needs of all students in order to ensure consistent academic and social success. The K-8 experience is unique in the fact that it fosters a nurturing and supportive learning environment for all students as they climb the educational ladder. As Benjamin Franklin stated, “An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest.” We believe it is important that our students develop the attributes to thrive in what will be a constantly changing world. Our conviction and dedication to the success of our students is essential. Working together, we can build a brighter future for our children.
